Marriott Hotels’ #TravelBrilliantly campaign is on a quest to forever change and further enhance  guests’ travel experiences with the launch of its new virtual reality amenity, dubbed “VRoom Service.”   

Created in collaboration with Samsung Electronics America, the first-of-its-kind VR experience is now available for Marriott guests to order and explore different parts of the world without having to step foot out of bed. Using Marriott’s Mobile Request app or calling a dedicated VRoom Service extension, guests are now able to request that Samsung Gear VR headsets and headphones be delivered right to their rooms. Once delivered, guests are invited to explore the different “VR Postcards,” which are intimate, 3-D stories of real travelers exploring different countries. Currently there are three VR Postcards available for guests to enjoy, featuring places like the Andes Mountains in Chile, an ice cream shop in Rwanda, and the busy streets of Beijing.

Blurring the lines between storytelling and technology, Marriott’s “VRoom Service” hopes to push guests’ imagination by creating inventive spaces that foster creativity and thinking. Using the hashtag #TravelBrilliantly, this campaign has experienced a lot of success across its social platforms: spreading awareness, interacting with consumers, and showcasing the brand’s innovative and forward-thinking mentality.
