Unsuspecting passers-by on Sixth Avenue were prompted to “select a topic and get started” by what seems to be an average street window ad.

What they found was a large, interactive touch screen with a real-time responsive stewardess avatar. The avatar made comments on what participants were wearing, and concluded the experience by revealing that she was actually a brand representative. She comes out from the store window to greet the participant in person with free travel vouchers. This campaign is also extended digitally, using #JetBlueWingman. Sure, interactive billboards aren’t anything new, but this real-life avatar takes it to the next level. Jetblue took a concept and made it an experience for potential customers, setting a standard for interactive advertisements.
