Holiday Inn, which welcomes millions of guests each year, has launched a new brand campaign called “Journey to Extraordinary” to showcase the uniqueness of its guests through photography a variety of short bio videos. “Journey to Extraordinary” will feature the true, emotional stories of its visitors through a multi-prong digital campaign, with the central hub of content in its custom-designed, documentary-style Tumblr page. In addition to sharing guest stories, pictures and videos on Tumblr, the brand will also share fresh content weekly through November 2014 on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This new campaign builds off of last year’s “Change Your View” campaign, which focused on the story of the Holiday Inn brand. Not only does Holiday Inn succeed in making the consumer a hero in this new marketing strategy, but it also leverages Tumblr to visually trump the similar guest-focused stories on Hampton’s YouTube page.
