GNC, a leading health and nutrition based store, developed a clever way to literally get consumers running to their stores. The company’s most recent campaign Beat The Standard, tells consumers that they can push themselves to rise above the average. Don’t let excuses get in the way, go out and do something! Keeping this campaign in mind, GNC worked with Google Maps to offer consumers discounts on GNC products. If a consumer entered “GNC” into Google Maps, received directions and the estimated travel time, then BEAT that estimated travel time, they would receive a discount at GNC.
