Burger King handed out free Whoppers to students who could answer questions about school subjects correctly.

Every day from April 13th to April 20th, the fast food chain posted a question on its Facebook and Instagram pages in a variety of subjects, including math, biology, chemistry and literature. Students who answered the questions correctly in the BK App unlocked a promotional code that offered a free Whopper with any purchase. The promotion was open to all registered customers 18 and older in the continental U.S. and those 13 to 17 who had parental permission.

As students have turned to the Internet for online learning and to connect with friends during the COVID-19 pandemic, Burger King found a way to meet these consumers where they already are and join in on the conversation in a fun and creative way. By housing the promotion on its app, the brand is also likely to see an increase in downloads and mobile delivery orders.
