This year’s world cup in Brazil is going to be quite a spectacle, and the action won’t be limited to the pitch. By one estimate,Twitter is expecting 60% of tweets to be World Cup-related during tournament matches. With this kind of social media output in mind, Sony has launched One Stadium Live, a mobile-first online platform that will bring together chatter from Twitter, Facebook and Google+ during the tournament. “It will be like turning social content into TV content..like a social broadcast channel for football,” described Nick Bailey, CEO and executive creative director of the platform’s creator, Isobar U.K. The site will analyze and arrange posts based on their content, organizing them into an easily scannable snapshot of trending World Cup conversations.
