Marriott’s boutique hotel, Moxy and dating app, Bumble have partnered to create “BumbleSpot #attheMoxy,” experiences at various Moxy hotel locations that provide a fun, safe space for users to meet their connections in person.

The first BumbleSpot will be launched in New York City’s Financial District today with a special event hosted by actress, philanthropist, and entrepreneur Jaime King and music by Coco & Breezy. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with “Profile Doctors,” have headshots taken, and attend workshops to learn how to break the ice when meeting new Bumble connections. Moxy hotels in Seattle, New Orleans, Tempe, New York Times Square and Minneapolis will launch their BumbleSpots by the end of the year, and more will continue to spread throughout the United States and Canada in the near future. Offerings at these spots will include food and drink discounts, complimentary workspaces, and fun, interactive games to get to know others.

As millennials tend to explore other accommodation options while traveling, such as hostels and Airbnb, hotels have to work even harder to reach this segment. Knowing that experiences are important to this generation, Marriott has found a good way to differentiate this brand of hotels.
