Facebook launched it’s new ‘Groups’ feature today, which allows user to segment their Facebook community of friends into smaller groups. Essentially, a user will be able to create mini Facebooks within Facebook to interact with only certain people they invite to a group. CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the ‘Groups’ feature was introduced to allow users to avoid sharing everything with all their Facebook friends when they really want to share with just certain friends or family.; before this launch, the most private account setting was to share everything with ‘just friends’. The older ‘Groups’ feature, allowing people of common interests to gather, will still be active on Facebook.
